It's been a hectic week preparing for the launch of The Haute Blogger, but my good friend Amy came to town and I had to go and see her! We ended up going to dinner after work and I looked terrible. You know that point where your hair is unruly and you're makeup-less and you can't bear to look in the mirror? I was worse than that. I had no time to get dolled up before I saw her, but when I got home that night, I decided that I wouldn't be in that kind of predicament again.
I popped out the makeup bag that I scored from A Fine Find. Here's what I put inside.
MAC Studio Fix - As you might already know, my MUFE Powder Foundation is my number one go to. But I'm slightly nervous to carry it around because I really don't want to break it. I'll put it on in the morning, and use Studio Fix (my old fave) on the go.
Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Stick - This is a new holiday purchase for me. I've used it here and there, and I'm thinking it will be great for touch ups.
Anastasia Clear Brow Gel - Just in case my brows start to fly all over the place.
MAC Studio Sculpt Lash - I'm not crazy about this mascara, but it hasn't expired yet, so I'm going to make use of it. The brush is really, really cool.
Nars Larger Than Life Eye Pencil - Okay, this eyeliner is BOMB. I used it on my lower lashline and it was creamy, slightly waxy and stayed put all day! It gave my eyes the vampy effect, exactly what I was going for!
Maybelline Eye Studio - This is my liquid liner backup. It's basically a marker with a sharp edge, perfect for beginners and masters.
Nars Scarlet Empress & Honolulu Honey lipsticks - Old faithful lipsticks. See the swatches here.
MAC Vino and Chestnut Lipliners - Just in case. More old faithfuls.
