The Best Sunscreen for Every Skintone by Erin Baynham

extrashade sunscreen for people of color Remember when I burned the heck out of my face a couple years ago? The burning, the scabbing, the shedding, the dark marks (lots of very graphic pictures here). It was an experience that changed the way I take care of my skin. One of things you'll always here is people telling you to wear spf. Sure, I know I should have been doing this a long time ago, but better late than never, right?

After my disaster a few years ago, I found Extrashade ($40). I applied this lightweight lotion like crazy while baking in the sun this week.  One of the best parts about this lotion is that it doesn’t leave that horrid purple cast that so many other sunscreens have. This is a sunscreen for darker complexions, and it’s just as effective. At $40 a tube, I know it seems a bit pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for when it comes to items like this. This was a press sample, but I can assure you that I'll be purchasing again! You can find Extrashade here.
